U.S. accounts for 20% of world GDP

UPDATE: In the last 23 years, the relatively wealthy in America doubled from 33% to 63.5%. This makes sense to me, given that GDP growth per capita has outpaced most industrialized nations in the same timeframe.

Big whoop, right? This picture brings it home a little better. The best one for me was Russia = New Jersey (via Don Luskin).
