Rubin endorses Clinton

The NY Times continues its positive news manufacturing for Hillary and Bob "Money Man" Rubin:

Despite his relationship with the former president, Mr. Rubin was not an early supporter of Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy. The two clashed in the Clinton White House over health care reform and economic and budget priorities, and Democrats close to Mr. Rubin said yesterday that he expressed concerns to friends last winter about whether she would be the party’s strongest nominee. One of Mr. Rubin’s sons, James, has been a major fund-raiser for a Clinton rival, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois.

But, Democrats say, Mr. Rubin has been impressed with Mrs. Clinton’s performance as a candidate this year. He has also generally favored her economic and domestic policy platforms, partly shaped by two of his allies from the Clinton era, Gene Sperling and Roger Altman.
