Boenher Principle* saves us from a worser fate

*any debt limit increase has to be matched by spending reductions

This looks like it's 2% of the economy, and 10% off of Obama's proposal.  That's significant. 

I'd like to see our leaders targeting about 18% maximum government peace time spending, primarily motivated by Hauser's Law.
