Voicemail is a seriously time-consuming way to communicate

Of course, television has some similarities, as I pointed out in the comments of his post:

I'd rather read transcripts of CNBC pieces rather than listening and watching television--even with Amanda Drury and some of the other smarter personae on the channel. But I put up with the "seriously time-consuming way to communicate" because I can multitask (and I'm a horrible multitasker compared with my wife). Perhaps Lloyd and friends have found a way to enhance productivity--listening to voicemail while writing email?
